She replaces Marcel Boller (President) and Martin Platter (Managing Director), who have been in office since November 2019. The change is being made at the resigning members' own request as part of a comprehensive reorganisation of the association.

pd. On Thursday 20 November in Eschlikon, the Velosuisse General Assembly elected Nathalie Schneitter as the new President and Managing Director of the Association of Swiss Bicycle Suppliers with immediate effect. Following extensive restructuring and realignment of the association, which entailed a significant increase in the association's management, it became apparent that the previous Dr Marcel Boller (President) and Martin Platter (Managing Director) would not be able to continue in their positions. The duo had been elected at the Velosuisse AGM in November 2019 as successors to Dr Andreas Gubler, who had previously held the positions in personal union like Schneitter.

However, Nathalie Schneitter's new appointment is not a return to old structures. The former top mountain bike athlete, who still passionately competes in endurance and e-MTB races today, has made a name for herself in recent years as Expo Director and co-organiser of various cycling events such as BikeDays (Solothurn), CycleWeek (Zurich) and VeloForum Switzerland. The experience and contacts she has gained as a result, as well as her studies in business administration and economics at the University of Basel, predestine the 39-year-old from Solothurn for the new management tasks at Velosuisse. The Board of Directors was also expanded at the AGM to include the role of Vice President. Christian Bättig, CEO and owner of Chris Sports AG, was elected. All other board members were re-elected.

Martin Platter will remain Managing Director of Velosuisse Event GmbH and the Swiss Cycling and E-Bike Centre within Velosuisse. He and Christian Bättig will support Nathalie Schneitter. Lawyer Dr Marcel Boller will continue to be available to the association in legal matters, but will no longer be part of Velosuisse.

The following companies also became new members of the association this year: M2 Brands AG (Schindellegi), Stolutions GmbH (Baar), AureusDrive AG (Lucerne) and Rotax Bike Technology AG/FIT eBike (Huttwil). This brings the total number of members to 41 companies.

Caption:
The newly elected President and CEO Nathalie Schneitter flanked by her predecessors Martin Platter, CEO, left, and Marcel Boller, Chairman, right.
