Nothing can be taken for granted. Not even what is taken for granted in Switzerland: running drinking water, sufficient electricity from the socket, well-stocked department stores, a functioning waste disposal system, intact transport systems, an open education system, a political system with the possibility of direct influence by the electorate and a standard of living that is unique in the world - also in terms of quality of life. This cannot simply be taken for granted. It has been designed and worked out in persistent detail and is constantly maintained and further developed.

The association's work plays a central role in this. Because it connects and bundles the ideas, interests and forces of like-minded people. It creates facts and thus makes itself heard in the media, with authorities and institutions, on administrations and in politics. Velosuisse is committed to the bicycle and e-bike. To ensure that the general conditions are right and that the bicycle road infrastructure finally keeps pace with the enormous popularity of the bicycle. Velosuisse is against excessive regulation by the legislator, but for sensible standards and recommendations to protect cyclists. The association promotes the training and further education of proactive and competent professionals and stands for a prosperous trade without barriers.

What unites us most, however, is the passion for the most fascinating, uplifting, efficient, fast, healthy and environmentally friendly way of moving forward with your own muscle power on two wheels. You too can become part of the Velosuisse movement, because together we are even stronger.
