The merger of the two European industry associations Conebi (components and add-on parts) and CIE (complete bikes) to form the new industry giant EIC (European Cycling Industries) in 2025 marks the ideal time for Velosuisse to join at European level. The association of Swiss bicycle suppliers and service providers has been committed to the mobility of the future and cycling for over 20 years. Now comes the logical step towards joining the European umbrella organisation.

Velosuisse has represented the most important players in the Swiss bicycle industry as a national and international interest group since 2005. The network includes the most important manufacturers, importers, wholesalers, dealers, service providers and agencies based in Switzerland. The association's core activities include the collection of local bicycle market data and the transfer of knowledge to bicycle retailers and service providers, which is ensured by the InfoTech training platform in January.

The Swiss association's commitment to cycling does not end at national borders. International coordination creates clarity, especially when it comes to technical regulations and legal provisions. Velosuisse President Nathalie Schneitter and EIC CEO Paul Walsh (pictured) see great potential in future cooperation. By joining forces, both associations want to utilise synergies. The common goal is to create a solid foundation for a competitive, innovative and sustainable cycling industry throughout Europe.
