In line with the renowned training model of apprenticeship companies and vocational schools, the Jobfactory consists of two bodies, Job Factory Basel AG and the Job Training Foundation. Both bodies work closely together. While the Job Training Foundation specialises in strengthening young people in the areas of coaching and education, Job Factory Basel AG offers 120 internships in its 16 business areas. From the start, the interns work four days a week in one of the business fields and are integrated into their production and service processes. In this way, they gain valuable professional experience, which will help them achieve their goal of an apprenticeship. They receive an additional day of job training application training and school courses in maths, German and general education at the Job Training Foundation. These courses support them in their search for a suitable apprenticeship and prepare them for vocational school. Through this combination, more than 200 young people without jobs or training receive a unique orientation and qualification offer every year.
